I have been making pictures of the land and sky for over twenty-five years. My landscape interest lies primarily at the interface of human activity on the land. This can occasionally take the form of a picture whose beauty is relatively easy to access, but often takes shape in pictures that stretch and challenge my sense of what beauty is in a pictorial and personal sense. I make effort to have the underlying picture structure enhance the scene drawn by the lens.  Recent digital technological advancements allow me the freedom to modify the picture in ways not possible with traditional darkroom methods.  I use these tools freely.

My current color landscape work is printed 10" X 15", or 10" X 12.5" image size on Epson Exhibition Fiber  paper with an Epson 4880 printer using archival Ultrachrome Inks. Title, printing information, date and initial are printed 1/2 inch below the image. Work is matted to conceal this information. Prints are $350 in an archival matt.
